Exploring the World of Bees: My Beekeeping Adventure

Documenting My Beekeeping Journey

Welcome to Tactical Honey! I’m thrilled to share my journey with you. Throughout the years, I’ve embraced various roles, but most folks know me from as an firearms instructor and administrative manager at a local gun range. This position provided extensive hands-on experience with firearms and gave me an understanding of the daily operations of running a range and store.

It also offered the chance to train with exceptional instructors and mentors, leading me to become actively involved in competition shooting sports. The confidence gained from this pushed me to become a firearms instructor in 2017. I love teaching others to be confident and competent with firearms!

After a surgery and some mobility challenges in 2023, I took a break from shooting and literally sat on my butt for weeks. During this time, I caught “BEE FEVER,” immersing myself in everything related to bees—watching videos, reading articles, listening to podcasts, and attending workshops.

Currently, I’m enrolled in a Beekeeping Apprenticeship program, focusing on Natural and Treatment-Free beekeeping methods. I’m also rekindling my passion for competition shooting. I created this blog to share my beekeeping adventures with the friends from the range, for my students who wish to follow along, and for anyone else that wants to follow my journey.
