About Tactical Honey
I’m Victoria, the beekeeper behind Tactical Honey, where my goal is to connect landowners with healthy, sustainable honeybee practices. I offer beekeeping services for property owners seeking tax savings through hassle-free, turn-key bee leases, as well as swarm captures, colony removals, and consulting to help people care for bees with confidence and care.

My path into beekeeping started with a period of deep learning—books, research, and formal coursework—and quickly evolved into hands-on experience through mentorships, fieldwork, and apprenticeship training alongside seasoned beekeepers. As Tactical Honey began to take shape, I knew I wanted to offer more than just honey. My goal was to create something meaningful and lasting—to share my passion for honeybees and help others learn how to care for them. By offering guidance on pollinator-friendly plants, supporting landowners with ag valuation, and yes, maybe even sharing a little honey along the way, I set out to make beekeeping strategically sweet for everyone involved.
Tactical Honey specializes in turn-key bee leases that help rural property owners meet ag valuation requirements. I manage every part of the process: hive setup, monthly inspections, seasonal documentation, and direct communication with appraisal districts when needed. I also provide swarm captures, limited cut-outs, and harvest small-batch honey and beeswax for handmade products created through my home apothecary.

I practice treatment-free beekeeping, which means I avoid crutches like miticides or antibiotics and instead focus on promoting locally adapted survival stock—strong, resilient bees suited to our climate and landscape. It’s a long-term approach built on careful observation, clean practices, and a commitment to letting the bees do what they do best.
Through my apothecary, I make a variety of seasonal goods using hive-based and herbal ingredients—raw honey, herbal tinctures, infused extracts like vanilla, and beeswax-based body and household products. Each batch is simple, intentional, and in rhythm with the seasons.
Before beekeeping, I spent over 30 years working in accounting and small business operations, and that background shapes the way I run Tactical Honey: with attention to detail, consistent systems, and clear communication. Whether I’m submitting hive records or tracking production costs, I treat every aspect of this business with professionalism and care.
You may also know me from my work as a firearms instructor for nearly 10 years where I’ve taught Texas LTC courses and coached students in firearms safety, situational awareness, and personal skill-building. I’m also an amateur competitive shooter—a discipline that, like beekeeping, demands focus, timing, and respect for the process.

That’s where the name comes from: Tactical Honey is a blend of my two worlds—bullets and bees, precision and process, grit and grace. Whether I’m helping someone qualify for an ag valuation or teaching them fundamentals of marksmanship, the core is the same: competency and strategic thinking.
Curious how Tactical Honey got started?
It all began with a foot injury, a pause, and a deep dive into the world of bees. What started as downtime turned into a full-on calling—built on research, mentorship, and hands-on experience. If you’d like to read the full story of how this journey unfolded, you can find it here: Journey Into Beekeeping
Since those early days, Tactical Honey has grown into a multi-county operation with apiaries in Williamson, Travis, and Burnet counties. Whether you’re looking for apiary setup, swarm removal, or guidance on sustainable hive management, I’d love to help you find a strategically sweet solution for your land.
